Chengam Court Building Solar Installation by Navina Agency

Chengam – Tiruvannamalai Court Building

We executed a complete 30 kW solar power installation at the Tiruvannamalai Court Building located in Chengam, providing a full-service solution including site assessment, system design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and performance monitoring.

As a government facility with consistent daytime electricity usage, this building now benefits from a stable, eco-friendly power supply. The installation includes 61 high-efficiency Novasis 550 Wp monocrystalline panels, expected to generate approximately 45,000 units (kWh) annually—reducing both operational costs and carbon emissions.

This project aligns with the Tamil Nadu government’s broader sustainability goals and commitment to renewable energy implementation across public sector infrastructure. The grid-tied solar system ensures seamless integration with the building’s power infrastructure while enabling real-time monitoring and long-term performance optimization.

Our engineering and project management teams ensured smooth execution, from initial energy audits to the final system handover, with minimal disruption to daily court operations.

The Challenge Of Project

Before the implementation of the 30 kW solar system, the Chengam court building relied entirely on grid power to meet its energy demands. This led to high electricity costs, increased operational overheads, and occasional power interruptions. The facility also lacked a proper energy monitoring system, resulting in inefficient energy usage. Despite having ample rooftop space, no solar infrastructure had been utilized to offset energy consumption. Given the state’s growing emphasis on clean energy adoption, the need for a dependable, cost-effective, and sustainable power source became clear. This solar project was envisioned as a smart solution to reduce long-term energy expenditure, improve system reliability, and contribute to Tamil Nadu’s broader environmental goals.
